The traditional J-style bass is reinvented by the Cort GB-Fusion 5 by merging traditional style and innovative features for the demands placed upon the contemporary player. Built from high-grade materials and high-end electronics, this five-stringer is very versatile, plays very easily, and has great tone.
Body and Top
A solid alder body forms the balanced tone base, providing definition and warmth throughout the range. A spalted maple top adds the distinctive visual style, each one unique.
Neck and Fingerboard
Smooth playing is provided by the hard maple neck, its 'C' profile providing the maximum playing comfort. Joined by the birdseye maple fingerboard, this combination presents bright tone coloration and playing smooth under the tips.
Pickups and Electronics
Equipped by the Cort's Voiced Tone VTB-ST single-coil pickup, the GB-Fusion 5 produces strong and detailed sound. An active 3-band EQ is available through the use of the push/pull volume switch for switching from the active mode to the passive mode, providing detailed tone shaping for all playing circumstances.
Hardware
MetalCraft M5 bridge ensures maximum string tension and sustain, and Hipshot Ultralite tuners ensure solid setting and minimize overall weight.
GB-Fusion 5 Added Features:
Luminlay side dot markings improve the ability to perceive the dots when playing under dark lights, and the transparent pickguard protects the body from pick scuffs while not hiding the attractive grain.
